CANTALALOUN

The choir was created at a historic moment when the local community of Lesvos was once again experiencing a reshuffle of its population. 2015-16 was a year when both refugee flows and thousands of volunteers and NGO workers changed the island's "anthropogenic" map. While the new entrants are overwhelmingly temporary residents of the island, nonetheless temporary communities are created that are determined by race, language or even the reason that brought them to the island (such as volunteers). In this context, the choir is constantly developing its own supranational community, followed by the values ​​mentioned above along with the passion for singing, open to every community of people, old or newly formed, that respect these values.
